Federal Child Labor Provisions Do Not:
- Require minors to obtain work permits
- Limit hours or restrict time worked for minors 16 years of age or older
- Require breaks or meal periods for minors
Although Federal Law does not require minors to obtain work permits, regulate the hours minors over 16 years of age may work, or require that breaks or meal periods be given, many States do have such laws. Reg.570.25
